Science in space: New satellite could bring climate DSCOVRies

The Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite recently began its million-mile journey to deep space. In addition to its primary mission of observing space weather, the satellite is carrying two instruments important to climate science: the NISTAR radiometer and the EPIC camera.
