The research and development strategic plan will provide a common understanding among NOAA's leadership, workforce, partners, and constituents on the value and direction of NOAA research and development activities. To help you get started, plan developers have proposed three vision areas for NOAA’s next 7-year Research and Development Plan. They are: --Reducing societal impacts from severe weather and other environmental phenomena --Sustaining the use of ocean and coastal resources --Robust and effective research, development and transition to this research to operations For more information, please see the Federal Register Notice or visit NOAA's website.
